For the 14th year in a row, the 2019 fair will see the presentation of the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award: this prize is given to the most innovative product from among those at the fair, selected by a group of experts. The winner will be chosen by the numerous visitors, who will have the chance to vote for their favourite product during the first two days of the show.
We at Simonato will participate in this important event for the first time, showcasing the wonderful organic aromatic plants that we have been growing since 1997 using rigorous production methods dictated by organic standards, demonstrating respect for the environment and consumer health.
The 2019 fair is also an important moment for us because we will present our brand new product: BioKepos3 packaging, featuring three great innovative elements. A plant fibre pot that can be planted directly into the soil or disposed of in the compost, a bag made from compostable materials that is suitable for industrial composting, and an information sheet printed on food wrapping paper that can be recycled with the paper waste. We are proud to present this innovative, eco-friendly and sustainable product, because we believe that our effort and respect for the environment is the only possible path to a healthier future for all.
Visitors to our stand can also pick up some gadgets that celebrate our collaboration with the Team For Children association, which has been supporting Padua's paediatric oncology and haematology clinic for more than a decade. Simonato has been working with the association for the last two years to raise awareness and support for their invaluable work helping children with cancer and their families.
